Pauline Lau

Principal & Co-founder

Qualified with master degree in Physiotherapy from Curtin University, Australia (more than 20 years ago). She specialised in senior citizens' health as well as sports injury and holds an extensive Physiotherapy Clinical experience working in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. She further developed and found her passion for massage and travel to Australia, Switzerland, Thailand and Indonesia to develop her treatment skills and gain more knowledge in certified massages.

With her medical background, she is adamant about teaching proper therapeutic and healing massage. Her motto is “We must protect both the giver and receiver of the massage. With good skills and sound knowledge of the body, we know we are giving healing massage correctly.”

Pauline chose to study physiotherapy because from young, she has a very caring personality who wants to help and heal people. She further specialised in massage because it is a natural way of healing without relying on electro-therapy or equipment.

Pauline enjoys continuous learning, she also enjoys sharing. Her students have high praise of her and appreciates how she strives to give them her best.

Jo Low

Trainer

Jo loves what she does. Since young age, she massages her mom daily who suffer from constant body ache, then developed a fascination in natural healing. She left her lucrative sales & marketing career in Melbourne to pursue her passion in massage. Jo spent few years practising in Melbourne to sharpen her skills before accepting an invitation in 2005 as a trainer from massage training school.

Her curiosity to understand the root cause of pain and dysfunction in the body keeps her practice and training ever-evolving with the combination of eastern modalities and western evidence/science-based techniques.

Her approach to massage therapy is more than just a “quick fix”, but rather a holistic treatment that encourages one to live in partnership with their body. Teaching students to use open conversation, careful assessment and critical thinking to find the root cause of pain and dysfunction in an attempt to restore the body’s natural state of wellness. Just like no two bodies are the same, no two treatments are the same.

Mind-body practices hold a strong presence in Jo’s life; hence she loves recharging in nature doing outdoors exercise, yoga with healthy diet.

Jesamine Soo

Trainer

Jesamine hails from beautiful Sarawak. Prior to joining Wellness Art, she was a housewife with a passion for healthy living and massage therapy. Much of her knowledge then was gained through books and internet research.

Since joining Wellness Art, there was no stopping her. Having started off with Swedish & Thai massage, Jesamine continued on with Foot Reflexology and Sports Injury Massage. Her potential and passion did not go unnoticed and was then offered a post as trainer in WA.

Jesamine also has an innate ardor for aromatherapy and healing with essential oils leading her to pursue Aromatherapy Massage. You could say she’s our in-house sweet smelling happy witch doctor.

Oh did we mention there’s no stopping her? Jesamine is also a certified Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She brings about an air of wisdom and compassion with her to wherever she goes. To say that she is well-liked is truly an understatement. A true head turner.

Sabariah Abd Latip

Trainer

Sabariah did her degree in Biomedical Engineering. Being a people person, she could not imagine herself being in the lab day in day out.

She started her career in sales & marketing involved in medical equipment supply to hospitals particularly to the Intensive Care Unit and Operating Theatre departments.

Years of exposure in medical line, being surrounded by healthcare professionals, she realizes the importance of staying healthy and embracing contentment.

As they say, everything happens for a reason. Prior to teaching at Wellness Art, she came to learn massage while in search for career change. Little did she realized, that’s her dream job!

Putting smile in people’s face, sharing the knowledge and of course the flexible work hour is more than what she could ask for.

Sabariah is well-loved by her students for being a trainer who’s always encouraging, enthusiastic, caring, thorough in her methodology, and fun!

Joseph Cheah

Trainer

Joseph is well known as “Joe the Gentleman”. He was brought up by his grandmother, he was the only grandson to 30+ females in the family. Grandma’s biggest teaching for him was to look after the females in the family. Joe have since extended it to looking after more vulnerable human beings.

Joe is also a leader in his youth church group and he is also a very active alumnus in his Sport Science pregraduate and postgraduate groups. His life aim is to always do his best, care for others and also inspire people for greater achievement.

Being an enthusiast of health and fitness, he sought for a skill after graduated from sports science which could compliment his profession well. Massage skill was a wondrous discovery for him, he could combine natural healing with sports, he has since treated numerous numbers of athletes from runners to MMA fighters.

He thinks Wellness Art is a miraculous find for him. He have learnt and taken many courses and introduced so many people to learn here. He was invited to join as a trainer not only because of his extensive experiences and qualifications, he strikes a perfect balance between accountability and support.

Nik Nur Jihan

Trainer

Nik loves to learn and explore fields of science and she loves art too. Graduated in Microbiology and Biotechnology, she constantly searching for opportunities to incorporate both science and art in her career.

From her past experience in pregnancy and confinement, she discovered very few Pre and Post Natal massage therapist with knowledge behind their skills and techniques. This led her to embarked in her massage journey. Also being a stay home mom, she has always wanted to do something she loves, earn yet have time for kids and family, with this industry she has achieved all.

As a trainer at Wellness Art, she hopes this will foster more certified massage therapist in Pre and Post Natal Massage. Owh, plus as a massage therapist she finally found her dream career where art and science are one.

Sanjeet Singh

Corporate event “Chairman”

Why “Chairman”? Sanjeet is the man who takes care of the event team and equipment during our corporate massage events. Wellnes Art has chosen him to lead the team as he is has extensive experience in customer service and charming personality.

Sanjeet started his career as a Flight Attendant. Hanging up his uniform after 5 years was one of the biggest challenge Nevertheless, he took a leap of faith.

The leap paid off. Sanjeet is now a certified Massage Therapist, specializing in Swedish Thai and Sports Injury Massage treatment. He has had many injuries and a major accident which made it impossible for him to participate in sports activities like before, so he has turned his enthusiasm and passion for Sports to explore on how to help people with sports injuries instead.

He has diverted his focus to helping people in achieving their wellness and physical goals now, and loving it!
